About the Mirasol Collection

The Mirasol Collection of yarn is available in Western Kansas exclusively at Quilt Cottage Co. Peru's heritage and culture of textile artistry is rich and ancient. The Mirasol Project supports local communities in Peru through the sale of the Mirasol Yarn Collection, which includes yarn made from the animals tended by these communities for generations in the Peruvian Highlands. Cotton yarns are made from cotton grown in the costal regions of Peru and spun in the foothills of the Andes.

By purchasing these yarns you are supporting the shepherds and farmers and their families, ensuring the continuation of this tradition. A portion of every purchase goes directly to the funding of a school in the remote area of Munani in the region of Puno.
